Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: September 1, 2026
Welcome to the website of Eddie's Home Repair Services ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, or by requesting our services through any phone number or email link on this site, you ("Client," "User," or "Customer") agree to be legally bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Scope of Services & Regulatory Compliance
-
Handyman Exemption Constraints: Eddie's Home Repair Services operates locally in Riverside, California. In strict accordance with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and Assembly Bill 2622, all residential repair, maintenance, and improvement projects performed under an unlicensed handyman scope are limited to a total aggregate cost of up to $1,000 per project (labor and materials combined).
-
Exemption Threshold Limitations: This $1,000 minor work exemption applies strictly to standalone projects that do not require a municipal building permit of any kind and are executed entirely by a solo craftsman without additional hired help or assistants on-site.
-
Pending Contractor Classification: Specialized mechanical trades, behind-the-wall plumbing/electrical routing, or larger structural projects exceeding the statutory $1,000 threshold or requiring building permits are omitted from our public service offerings until an official state trade contractor license is fully issued and registered.
2. Service Estimates & Validation Window
-
Direct Estimates: Any cost estimates, project scopes, or price quotes provided via email or phone calls are strictly directional until a physical or highly detailed assessment is completed.
-
Expiration Protocol: All formally issued written estimates are legally valid for a maximum window of 30 calendar days from the original date of issuance. If an estimate is not accepted within 30 days, we reserve the right to revise pricing based on fluctuating material costs or scheduling constraints.
3. Deposit Limitations & Progress Milestones
-
Down Payment Capping: In strict compliance with California Business and Professions Code parameters, any deposit requested prior to the physical commencement of work will never exceed 10% of the aggregate estimate total or $1,000, whichever value is lesser.
-
Material Progress Payments: Upon arrival at the work site on the scheduled first day of service, we reserve the right to invoice and collect an immediate progress payment covering the literal cost of materials, specialty components, or tool rigging delivered to the site for that project.
-
Final Balance Due: The final outstanding balance for all labor or completed maintenance services is due immediately upon the physical completion of the work on-site, unless explicitly outlined otherwise in a separate written milestone agreement.
-
Accepted Instruments: We accept payments via cash or pre-approved digital transactions. Late payments may be subject to standard processing penalties or administrative collection fees.
4. Property Access, Staging, & Worksite Safety
-
Unobstructed Access: The Client is solely responsible for providing us with clear, unobstructed access to the work area, utility connections, and structural points on the scheduled day of service.
-
Workspace Safety: To ensure job-site safety and a seamless workflow, the workspace must be completely clear of personal hazards, pets, and children during active service hours. We are not responsible for project delays caused by a lack of proper site access or unsafe field conditions.
5. Intellectual Property & Portfolio Media
-
Gallery Visuals: All photographs, step-by-step videos, and media displayed on our project gallery pages are the exclusive intellectual property of Eddie's Home Repair Services.
-
User Restrictions: Users are strictly prohibited from copying, downloading, distributing, or scraping any media or marketing assets from this website for alternative commercial use without express written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability & General Disclaimer
-

Indemnification Baseline: Eddie's Home Repair Services is not liable for structural degradation, pre-existing facility vulnerabilities, or plumbing/electrical system failures that existed within the property prior to our arrival on-site.
7. Governance & Jurisdictional Authority
-
Legal Venue: These Terms & Conditions are governed entirely by the laws of the State of California. Any formal disputes or legal proceedings arising directly from our website use or contracted work will be handled strictly within the local court system of Riverside County, California.
